Mushroom Pod

Like plants, could mushrooms be the new home buddy? Fungi centred living explores the potential of growing mushrooms in indoor environments.
Mushrooms are well known to be nature’s waste manager. This project explores the potential use of household organic waste to grow nutritious mushrooms. Depending on the nature of one’s diet the dry organic waste we create can be extremely nutritious forming the perfect ground for the growth of mushrooms. This can bring mushrooms into indoor environments establishing a new relationship between man and fungi. Mushrooms are a good source of proteins, and have the potential of democratizing protein consumption in a post-meat era.
